What This Site Covers

One move per article, and a way to answer it

Contents

This site explains logical fallacies, and a few related habits of argument. Each article stays on one move: what it is, where it shows up, and how to answer it without merely naming it.

A personal attack is not a forced choice, and a forced choice is not a prediction that a small step ends in disaster. When two articles meet, they say how the moves differ and link to each other. The examples are drawn from school, politics, and media, because that is where these patterns are easiest to miss.
